  Taylor needs help. She is moving a desk. Rob can help her. Be careful! Some books are falling. A book drops* on Rob’s foot. Now he is hurt. His leg* is hurt, too. Taylor can help. But Rob has to stop hopping* around first!


  Linda's tooth* hurts. How often does she go to the dentist*? Never! Linda is scared of dentists. But she needs a dentist today.


 


Conversation A


(in the office)


Taylor:  Can you help me move this desk?


Rob:     Sure, Taylor. One, two, three . . .


Taylor:  Oh, be careful. The books are dropping* on the floor


Rob:     Ahh. A book hit my foot!


Taylor:  Oh no! Is your foot OK?


Rob:     No. And my leg* is hurt, too.


Taylor:  Well, stop hopping* and I can help you.


 


Conversation B


(in the Jungle Café)


James: Hello, Linda. Is something wrong?


Linda:   Yes, James. I don’t feel well. My tooth* hurts.


James: That isn’t good. How often do you go to the dentist*?


Linda:   I never go to the dentist. I’m too scared!


James: Hmm. Dentists aren’t scary. And you need a dentist.


Linda:   Maybe you're right. My tooth really hurts. I have to go today.
