  Rob is talking to Mark the mechanic*. Mark fixes machines*, but he doesn't fix all machines. Mark just fixes vehicles.


  Mark’s job is to fix motorcycles* and scooters*. Rob has a scooter. Its engine* works well, so he doesn't need a mechanic. But it’s good to know a mechanic. When Rob’s scooter breaks, he can call Mark.


 


Conversation A


(in the studio)


Rob:     Let's welcome our guest, Mark the mechanic*.


Mark:    Thanks, Rob! I am glad to be here.


Rob:     So, tell us about being a mechanic.


Mark:    Sure! I love my job. I fix machines*.


Rob:     What kinds of machines do you fix?


Mark:    Well, mechanics fix different kinds of machines. But I work on vehicles.


Rob:     We all need vehicles!


 


Conversation B


Mark:    I don't work on all vehicles. I just fix motorcycles* and scooters*.


Rob:     Oh. I go to work by scooter!


Mark:    Does your scooter run well?


Rob:     Yes, it does. I don’t have trouble with the engine*. But if I do, I'll call you!


Mark:    Please do. I can always use more work!


Rob:     And now I know a good mechanic. That's important.
